Kedarnath Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to lord Shiva located on the Garhwal Himalayan range near the Mandakini river, Kedarnath is located in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Duo to extreme whether condition temple is open to the general public only between the month of April and November.During the winter, the vigraha Kedarnath temple is carried down to Ukhimath and where the deity is worshiped for next six month. मंदिर सड़क मार्ग से सीधे पहुँचा नहीं जा सकता है और गौरीकुन्नड पोनी से 22 किलोमीटर (14 मील) की ऊँचाई तक पैदल जाना पड़ता है और संरचना तक पहुँचने के लिए मैन्चेन सेवा उपलब्ध है। हिंदू किंवदंतियों के अनुसार, मंदिर शुरू में पांडवों द्वारा बनवाया गया था, और बारह ज्योतिर्लिंगों में से एक है, शिव का पवित्रतम हिंदू तीर्थस्थल, तेरामार में निष्कासित 275 पाडल पेट्रा स्टालम्स में से एक है।

In 2013 natural disaster are affected kedarnath temple and lots of people died in floods.According to the official records, 197 people were killed, 236 injured and 4,021 went missing in the flash floods, which affected five districts of uttarakhand, 3,001 severely damaged and 11,759 partially damaged.
