OVERVIEW:-

The Somnath Temple is situated in Prabhas Patan near Junagadh in Saurasthra in Gujrat, India. It is the first  among of Tweleve Jyotirlinga Shrines of Shiva. The Somnath Temple is reconstructed Several times in the past after repeated Distruction by many Muslims invaders and rulers. The present temple was reconstructed in Chaulukya Style of Hindu temple architecture and completed in May 1951. The reconstruction was started under the order of the Home Minister of India Vallabhbhai Patel. The Reconstruction is completed after his death. It is an important Pilgrimage and tourist place of Gujrat

अवलोकन:-

सोमनाथ मंदिर भारत में गुजरात के सौराष्ट्र में जूनागढ़ के पास प्रभास पाटन में स्थित है। यह शिव के ट्वेल्वे ज्योतिर्लिंग श्रृंगों में से पहला है। कई मुस्लिम आक्रमणकारियों और शासकों द्वारा बार-बार भेद किए जाने के बाद सोमनाथ मंदिर का पुनर्निर्माण कई बार हुआ है। वर्तमान मंदिर का पुनर्निर्माण हिंदू मंदिर वास्तुकला की चालुक्य शैली में किया गया था और मई 1951 में पूरा हुआ। पुनर्निर्माण भारत के गृह मंत्री वल्लभभाई पटेल के आदेश के तहत शुरू किया गया था। उनकी मृत्यु के बाद पुनर्निर्माण पूरा हो गया है। यह एक महत्वपूर्ण तीर्थयात्रा और पर्यटन स्थल है।

Jyotirlinga:-

According to Indian History the 12 Jyotirlinga was site take the name of a different manifestation of Shiva. At all these sites, the primary image is a Lingam representing the beginning-less and endless Stambha (Piller), Symbolizing the infinite nature of Shiva. The Shivlinga is Somnath is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India, where Shiva is believed to have appeared as a fiery column of light. The Jyotirlingas are taken as a supreme, undivided reality out of which Shiva Partly appears. In addition to the one at Somnath, the other are at Varanasi, Rameswaram, Dwarka, etc.

ज्योतिर्लिंग: -

भारतीय इतिहास के अनुसार 12 ज्योतिर्लिंग स्थल शिव की एक अलग अभिव्यक्ति का नाम था। इन सभी स्थलों पर, प्राथमिक छवि एक लिंगम है जो शुरुआत-कम और अंतहीन स्टंबा (पिलर) का प्रतिनिधित्व करती है, जो कि शिव की अनंत प्रकृति का प्रतीक है। शिवलिंग सोमनाथ भारत के उन 12 ज्योतिर्लिंगों में से एक है, जहाँ माना जाता है कि शिव प्रकाश के एक उग्र स्तंभ के रूप में प्रकट हुए थे। ज्योतिर्लिंग को एक सर्वोच्च, अविभाजित वास्तविकता के रूप में लिया जाता है जिसमें से आंशिक रूप से शिव प्रकट होते हैं। सोमनाथ में एक के अलावा, दूसरे वाराणसी, रामेश्वरम, द्वारका, आदि हैं

Architecture of present  Somnath temple:-

The present Somnath temple is buil in Chaulukya style. The temple is in "Kailash Mahameru Prasad" style and reflects the skills of the Sompura Salats one of the Gujrat's master masons. The temple is situated at such place that their is a no land in a straight line between Somnath seashore until Antarctica. 

वर्तमान सोमनाथ मंदिर की वास्तुकला: -

वर्तमान सोमनाथ मंदिर चुलूक्य शैली का बना है। मंदिर "कैलाश महामेरु प्रसाद" शैली में है और यह सोमपुरा सलाट्स के कौशल को दर्शाता है जो गुजरात के मास्टर राजमिस्त्री में से एक है। मंदिर ऐसी जगह पर स्थित है कि उनकी अंटार्कटिका तक सोमनाथ समुद्र के बीच एक सीधी रेखा में भूमि नहीं है।
